![]() ![]() Oh, and as for my concern with concealer looking too obvious? This formula is incredibly lightweight, with a finish that's not too matte or too shiny. Powder or no powder, I've worn this concealer all day, more times than I can remember (told y'all, I love it), and I've never noticed it creasing or had to do touch-ups because it was settling into fine lines in my skin. But if I skip that step, my under-eyes look super hydrated. If it's very hot and humid outside, I'll top off the concealer with a yellow-toned powder (currently obsessing over Beauty Bakerie's Flour Setting Powder in Yellow) under my eyes to prevent creasing. It also does a great job of covering up my dark circles, and if I need more coverage, I simply use another application. Either way, when I do apply this stuff, a single application (I'm counting my three stripes as one application) covers up the indentations under my eyes that make me look extra tired. I normally use a damp Beautyblender to blend it in, but sometimes I like to use my fingers. I love watching the applicator bend as I swipe on stripes (typically three) under my eyes, starting along the sides of my nose (the deepest, most sunken-in part of my under-eye area), following my orbital bone to just beyond the outer corners of my eyes. It's squoval-shaped, moves flexibly from left to right, and it's incredibly satisfying to use. I typically use the lightest of the three, 5N, a neutral medium-brown shade, but reach for 6N when I get a little tan or I don't want a highlighted quality to my concealer.įirst, I am obsessed with the fuzzy, doe-foot applicator. There are three colors in the shade range that work for medium-dark to dark skin tones. Their setting powder and Secret Camouflage concealer are legendary, so I had high expectations for their newest liquid concealer, which comes in 12 shades. When Laura Mercier's Best of Beauty-winning Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer first came across my desk, I was psyched. I'm not trying to mattify my under-eyes (at least not too much), and I definitely don't want red or orange-toned circles around my eyes (I call it "the reverse Donald Trump") or yellow cheeks. ![]() When wearing concealer without foundation, I like my concealer to actually look like the texture and color of skin. But I do love looking like I'm well-rested (which I am certainly not most of the time), so concealer is more my jam. I don't wear foundation often, because I don't like the feel of it on my skin. ![]() Concealer might be one of the most important parts of my makeup routine, besides my brows. ![]()
